MAP - Measures of Academic Progress Tests
These tests are state –aligned computerized adaptive tests that accurately reflect the instructional level of each student and measure growth over time. These tests are given three times a year; September, December and March.
MAP tests provide highly accurate results and can be used to:
- Identify the skills and concepts individual students have learned.
- Diagnose instructional needs.
- Monitor academic growth over time.
- Make data-driven decisions in the classroom.
- Place students into appropriate instructional programs.
Scores are recorded and kept in permanent record so that student can be appropriately placed if they travel to other school within the area or state.
